Liz Claiborne Trouser Socks

What are we punishing anyway?

When my daughter was little, we learned that "time-out" as punishment simply doesn't work well. The rule of thumb was "one minute of time out for each year of the child's age." That sounds reasonable enough. Set aside a place, tell the tantrum-throwing, misbehaving child to sit there for two minutes, and see what happens. It's tempting to add another minute each time the child stomps a foot, yells, whines or talks back.

That two minutes can quickly grow to five, or 10, or -- the parents finally yell "Go to your room!" so they don't have to hear any more of it. "Go to your room!" is an effective punishment for the sociable child, like Katie, who can't stand isolation, but doesn't work well with the quiet bookworm, like me, who'd just as soon curl up in bed and read or daydream.

Smart parents may throw up their hands in frustration and try a different tactic, such as distracting the child. Not-so-smart parents, after tearing out what's left of their hair, simply give in -- teaching the child that battles of will are won by the most annoying contender.

It's important to understand the difference between inappropriate behavior, such as breaking all the good china on purpose, and inappropriate displays of emotion, such as throwing a tantrum and screaming like a banshee. It's not fair to punish a child for what he's feeling. The emotions may be very valid, and the child should be allowed to express them. It's our job as parents to teach children better ways of expressing their negative feelings without punishing them for having those feelings. The "time-out" concept is much more valuable when used to teach self-control than when used to punish lack of it.

Stock your arsenal with self-control skills

During a visit with my grandmother when my son William was about 18 months old, we learned the real value of teaching "time-out" as a tool for self-control. We were on our way to dinner -- five of us, ranging in age from 18 months to 89 years -- when my son started to whine.

Normally, he's a pretty easy-going kid, so this was a bit of a novelty. And we understood, up to a point. We'd done some sightseeing earlier in the day, and I guess he'd finally had enough of riding around in a rented minivan, doing what the "grown-ups" wanted to do. But after 10 solid minutes of his caterwauling, we were all at our wits' end. Even his great-grandmother, who thought he was the "perfect child," was ready to tell him to "put a sock in it." The volume went up; the tone and pitch were akin to fingernails on a chalkboard. We were caught in traffic with no place to conveniently pull over. His big sister Katie couldn't comfort him. He just wailed louder when she tried. Exasperated, I told everyone to just ignore him.

Amazingly, as we got quiet, he started chanting "My-my-my time-out! M-m-my time-out! My time-out!" At first, this was a pretty emphatic, out-of-control sort of thing, accompanied by heaving sobs, but we were fascinated and didn't intervene. No one in the car had mentioned "time-out." His breathing was pretty ragged from crying, but he started to sound calmer.

"My time-out, my time-out, my time-out." He started to breathe normally, his voice lowered almost to a whisper, and he got a dreamy, far-away look in his eyes. "My...time...out." He sighed. His expression was pleasant. He smiled at his sister. He smiled at us. He was fast asleep by the time we got to the restaurant. When he woke up at the dinner table, he was pleasant company. The transformation was amazing, and he did it without any help from us!

"Time-out" belongs to the child. It's a skill, a tool and a way to cope. As William said, "It's MY time-out!" Give your child a safe place for taking a time-out. Let your child whine, scream, stomp her feet, grumble, punch the floor, whatever -- within the boundaries set for "time-out." Instead of "Take a TIME-OUT!" say "You look like you could really use a time-out. Why don't you sit right here until you've got yourself under control." Say it with sympathy, but walk away and enforce the boundaries. "You're welcome to come over here if you're ready to talk or play quietly. If you're going to fuss, that's OK, but you need to stay THERE." William was able to create his own "time-out" space without ever leaving his car seat.

My time-out!

Mommies and Daddies need "time-out" sometimes, too! Sometimes, when our nerves are frazzled after a long day, all it takes to light our shortened fuses is kids being kids. When the normal level of bouncing off the walls makes you feel like screaming, try taking a "time-out" for yourself, instead. Teach your children that "I need a time-out" means that you need to go to your own space and be left alone for a little bit. If you've helped them master the "time-out" skill for themselves, they'll understand. If you haven't, you may have to lock yourself in the bathroom to get a moment's peace! But do it before you snap at your child for acting like a child.

Though baby clothes seem small and insignificant, they can bring utter chaos to closets and drawers. These tiny garments are especially apt for creating an organizational nightmare, and if you have two or three children, the problem is exponential. Keeping babies and young children looking great while upholding a tidy home just takes a little extra organizational strategy, and the payoff is amazing.

It is not only important to keep baby clothes organized in order to have a tidy house, but it also helps you find the garments you are looking for on a daily basis. This includes storing those seasonal garments or hand-me-downs as well as those in current use, so that they are easily located. When storing baby clothes, it is important to sort them by size and season. This allows you to pick the box with the size and season you need rather than sorting through several boxes finding those spring shirts in a box full of all different sizes and types of clothes. This way, you are only looking for one box.

When hanging baby clothes, be sure to use the right baby clothes hangers. Baby hangers come in several materials, colors, and shapes. Add labels to different hangers to help organize the various types of clothes. Size is the most important thing to note. Keep like sized garments together. A closet full of baby hangers is pretty difficult to navigate without some type of divider system. You can use rod dividers or simply use adult hangers between different sections of baby clothes. The adult size clothes hangers can also be labeled to avoid confusion. It is a good idea to make these dividing sections for at least two years in advance so that they will already be in place as the child grows and acquires more clothes. The months will fly by, and if you do not do this ahead of time, it will most likely not be ready in time store new clothes.

Far more baby clothes will fit into drawers than adult clothing, so it is important to divide drawer sections into categories as well. Drawer organizers come in so many different forms, so the possibilities are endless, but here are some suggestions. Pajamas and footed sleepwear fit well into sock boxes, bibs and rattles work well in tie boxes, and shirts and sweaters fold nicely into wicker baskets. The important thing is to have these garments also divided by sizes and easily distinguishable.

For easy access, store those everyday garments and accessories on closet or bedroom doors. Shoe holders that hang from doors are great if you can remember to put the shoes back everyday. This will definitely decrease the rushed confusion of attempting to find that other missing shoe. Sweater and jacket hooks are also great on doors, but make sure to put these things out of your baby or toddler's reach.

Whether this article has helped you to make some organizational decisions or simply inspired you to organize your own way, spend a few minutes coming up with a game plan. The smaller the garment, the more difficult it is to keep track of. With a little planning and dividing, getting your child ready can be come more about having fun and less about scavenging for the right outfit.

Athletes foot is a common fungal infection of skin of the foot, usually affecting the soles of the feet and the areas between the toes. Sometimes, it may also spread to the toenails. This skin disorder is caused by the fungus tinea pedis, which is contracted from public environments. The fungus thrives in damp and warm areas such as locker rooms and common showers, which provide an ideal breeding ground for them. Walking barefoot in such facilities, the fungus can easily be transferred from the barren floor into the foot. As the infection was common among athletes who used these facilities frequently, the term "athlete's foot" became popular. Susceptibility to this infection is increased by poor hygiene, tight and closed footwear, prolonged moist skin, and minor skin or nail injuries. This infection is contagious, and can spread through direct contact, or contact with items such as shoes, stockings, and shower or swimming pool surfaces. They also can be transmitted from contact with pets that carry the fungus. Athlete's foot infection may be brief or long-term and may recur after treatment.

The most common symptom of athlete's foot is cracked, flaking, peeling skin between the toes. With the infection slowly developing, the skin surrounding the foot becomes dry and scaly. Inflammation and blisters may also develop gradually during the course of the infection. The blisters especially those found in between the toes are more likely to break out, exposing raw skin that can cause a great deal of pain and burning sensation. Itchiness on the surrounding skin is also one of the disturbing and troublesome symptoms of athlete's foot. The affected area is usually red and itchy. In addition to the toes, the symptoms can also occur on the heels, palms, and between the fingers. If the fungus spreads to nails, they can become discolored, thick, and even crumble. It can also spread to other parts of the body, notably the groin and underarms, by those who scratch the infection and then touch themselves elsewhere. The organisms causing athlete's foot may persist for long periods. Consequently, the infection may be spread by contaminated bed sheets or clothing to other parts of the body.

The best treatment of athlete's foot is prevention. Its infection can be prevented by practicing good foot hygiene. Daily washing of the feet with soap and water; drying carefully, especially between the toes; and changing shoes and hose regularly to decrease moisture, help prevent the fungus from infecting the feet. Also helpful is daily use of a quality foot powder. One should take extra care in public places. It is best to avoid walking barefoot in places like locker rooms and use shower shoes instead. It is also advisable to wear a sock, like cotton sock, which keeps the feet dry. Also, it should be changed frequently if one perspires heavily. Wet or sweaty socks should never be worn. One can also find socks made of special "moisture wicking" fabrics in many sports stores - these are designed to keep feet dry. If possible, one should choose sneakers that are well ventilated - some sneakers contain small ventilation holes that help to keep the feet dry. Light and airy shoes should be given preference to other variety of shoes. A clean towel should always be used and it is better to avoid sharing towels because doing so can spread the infection.

Although, over the counter medications are available for treatment of athlete's foot, the fungicidal and fungistatic chemicals, its main constituents, frequently fail to contact the fungi in the horny layers of the skin. If the topical antifungal treatments are not sufficient to control the problem, then an oral prescription treatment is often the next step.

However, these medicines have their own set of problems like side effects, longer duration of cure etc. Most recently, it is being replaced by colloidal silver, which has been found extremely effective in the treatment and prevention of athlete's foot. Colloidal silver, which is nothing but ultra fine particles of silver suspended in water, is well known for its effectiveness in fighting against infectious organisms. Colloidal silver has proven itself useful against all species of fungi, parasites, bacteria, protozoa, and certain viruses. In the early 1900's, colloidal silver was considered to be one of the mainstays of antibiotic treatment. It is still considered to be the most universal antibiotic substance that is non-toxic in its micro concentrates of 10-25 ppm. It is absorbed into the skin tissues at a slow enough rate that is non irritating to the tissues.

As stated earlier, cleanliness is one of the main factors in the prevention of athletes foot which is one the main virtue of the soap containing colloidal silver. The germ fighting capabilities of colloidal silver has been incorporated into soap and it is being extensively used for daily usage. These soaps help to maintain a healthy and clean skin because it has got the extra strength to fight the disease causing fungus. Colloidal silver is also found to stimulate healing process in the skin. This leads to a rejuvenating skin appearance because of regular usage of soap containing colloidal silver. Also, these soaps are considered to be purely natural because of its silver content. As a result, it is free from all toxic materials a normal soap contains. The soaps with colloidal silver are totally safe for human usage and they do not have any side effects. Also, the fungus causing athletes foot do not seem to build up a resistance to colloidal silver the way they do to pharmaceutical antibiotics. Antibiotics are becoming less effective as resistance to them grows. This also has led to such soaps being extremely popular in the treatment and prevention of athletes foot.

No matter what religious celebration December means for you and your family, they are all about giving. Most of the giving is done to family and friends. The kind of giving I would like to explore in this article is about giving to yourself, and I'm not talking about getting more stuff!

When we stop growing physically, many may think they are done with the growing, but nothing could be further from the truth. This is when the real growth starts, your Personal Growth!

To create an environment fertile for personal growth, these 5 gifts to yourself are a great beginning.

1. The Gift of Time

Some people need more alone time than others, but everybody needs "cave time". Please make this a priority, and put "time alone" in your calendar. If you are not used to taking alone time, it's OK to do a "mindless" activity like going for a walk, take a bath or clean out your sock drawer. Use this time to check in with yourself and ask how you are doing. Does any area(s) in my life need change?

2. The Gift of Space

Anything that competes to get your attention is a distraction. This can be visual in the form of clutter, or auditory as a constant stream of sound. Time alone is often more energizing in a space free from distractions. Create it in your home or find a serene quite place elsewhere.

3. The Gift of Breath

I have discovered the power of the breath, and would like for you to make this discovery as well. It is almost too simple to be true! By focusing on the breath, you are instantly removed from thoughts that hold you captured in the past or the future. When you are in the present moment you are able to tap into creative energy. Always breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth. Take deep slow breaths and follow the rhythm of your breathing with your mind.

4. The Gift of Being Able to Surrender to What Is

Non-productive worry drains energy from areas in your life where action is possible and needed. The essence of the "serenity prayer" says it all, take a moment to internalize it.

"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;

the courage to change the things I can;

and the wisdom to know the difference."

5. The Gift of Outside Support

Einstein said that "You can never solve a problem on the level on which it was created." I hope these wise words help you understand why your personal growth and healing is dependant on asking for, and receiving help from someone who has achieved a higher state of health than yourself.

Since I started my journey towards greater health I have immersed myself in books and regular consultations with natural health practitioners, and I know for sure that I would not be where I am today without getting boosted by individuals ahead of me. I urge you to do the same and find a practitioner that you resonate with.

Everything in universe has a polarity; "the other side of the coin". When it comes to giving, the flip side is receiving. If you can't receive what you are giving yourself, your personal growth is going nowhere fast.

Receiving is not acknowledged or valued as much as giving in our society. But without a gift being properly received, the power in the act of giving is lost. The most difficult receiving may be gifts from yourself. Please receive the gifts from yourself with great consciousness and gratitude.

Having good energy is essential for Personal Growth. To get you started towards more energy right now, I invite you to get a complimentary copy of my special report "Your Individual Diet - Eating for More Energy, Better Sleep & Clearer Thinking? I recently had the opportunity and privilege of speaking at the Womens Institute of Torahs Yom Iyun in Baltimore, MD. There were about 200 women, at my disposal, to interview.

They were asked, How do you do the laundry? Is there a particular laundry tip you think would be valuable for other Jewish homemakers out there to know?

Here are some of their answers. Enjoy.

* I have a white hamper and a black hamper so the clothes get sorted as they go in and can get thrown right into the machine when Im ready.Homemaker for 4 years

* Put the washer and dryer on the same level as the bedrooms, if at all possible. Homemaker of 46 years

* Wash stains ASAP. Each person has his or her own hamper. Children age 13 and up do their own laundry. Homemaker of 28 years

* Buy easy to launder clothes. Move your laundry room near your bedrooms. I recently was able to move mine and this has made a huge difference. Front loading machines are gentler on clothes. Remember to never leave your house with your dryer on and to check the lint screen before each load. Homemaker of 16 years

* Read labels before washing. Laundry is done after Shabbos starting with sheets, towels, and tableware. Then, clothes must be done by Thursday. Things go to the cleaners on Monday so they are cleaned well before Shabbos.Homemaker of 40 years.

* Sort clothes according to loads; warm, hot, cold.Homemaker of 45 years

* Get a helpful, caring husband.Homemaker of 57 years

* For large families, do laundry every day. Each morning collect the laundry and divide it into piles-colors, weight, etc. Our laundry room is in the kitchen. This makes our kitchen look a bit messier, but it makes laundry easier. You can change the loads while you cook supper.

* I dont separate colors and whites, everything is done in warm/cold. My husbands shirts are hung on hangers in the bathroom to dry, no ironing or drying. I keep a laundry basket in the bedroom. My 2 year old loves to help me, carrying quarters and handing me laundry and pushing the baskets from our apartment to the laundry room.Homemaker of 3 years

* Everyone must have 2 weeks worth of underwear and socks.Homemaker of 30 years

* If you have a child of preschool age, it is fun to match up socks by color or pattern. Homemaker of 30+ years

* Pretreat stains before putting stained clothes in the hamper. Fold sheets and towels first, since that reduces your pile considerably.Homemaker of 5 years

* Use color-safe bleach alternative. This prevents problems with lights and darks getting mixed together.Homemaker of 10 years

* Sort your laundry in separate bins to begin with.Homemaker of 5 years

* Pin socks together so they do not get lost. Use sock clips. Or, give each family member a mesh bag. As their socks get dirty, they can fill up their own mesh bag. Wash the entire bag and hand the clean bag back to them to match their own socks.

* Put your washer and dryer in your bathroom so you can put dirty clothes in right after a shower.Homemaker for 22 years

* Put one dot on the tags of your first childs clothing. When the second child gets the hand-me-down add a dot. By the time the 4th child gets the clothing, they have 4 dots. Laundry sorting is very easy because you know what belongs to which child.

* When I remove linens from beds, I put each set into a pillow case. I wash the set together and fold it into the quilt cover since the set is stored together in the linen closet.Homemaker of 37 years

* My laundry is in the basement. I like the fact that it is out of the way. However, if I had to choose, I would have my laundry on the bedroom floor.Homemaker of 30+ years

* I keep a stain-stick in the kitchen so I can work on the Shabbos tablecloth while it is still on the table after Shabbos. I can see the spots that need it better than in the basement laundry room. Our house has a laundry chute; I keep an old playpen under the opening to catch the dirty clothes. Homemaker of 38 years

* Keep a laundry hamper in each persons room and separate a laundry bag for cold water wash. From the age of 10 each child learns to do their own load.Homemaker of 27 years

* Fold laundry in a different basket for each child and put the basket in the childs room. This way, all the laundry doesnt get mixed up with each other.Homemaker of 16 years

* Keep an arts and crafts center adjacent to the laundry room so kids can be near you when you fold.Homemaker of 10 years

* Wash the delicates first; they take more time, and the sturdier clothes can be laundered more automatically. Homemaker of 30 years

* Put in 6 drops of Ammonia in each wash.Homemaker of 40 years

* Put hampers all over (i.e., bathrooms, bedrooms) so people will put dirty clothes in the hamper instead of on the floor. Homemaker of 7 years

* Pay yourself $10/hr to clean or make a list of rewards you want for 1x a week.Homemaker of 28 years

* Make your children sort, they will end up wanting to do their own laundry to get out of sorting.Homemaker of 23 years

* Pre-soak clothes in a bucket overnight.Homemaker of 26 years

* Marry a rich fellow and hire a maid.

Although I still believe there is a place for advertising as a brand maintenance or brand affirmation tool, I am convinced that to build a brand today, you need PR. At one time advertising did build brands. But this was in a simpler America. That America, sadly, is no more.

Ive been re-reading The Fall Of Advertising & The Rise Of PR, by Al and Laura Ries, and it is their book that has moved me from suspicion of advertisings demise as a brand-builder to conviction.

As the Ries say, Publicity is the nail, advertising is the hammer. What does this mean? It means that your PR effort helps make your message believable so that your advertising will have credibility when it hits.

Typically, companies want to hit the market hard and make a lot of noise. Advertising allows you to launch quickly, control the message, and have your message in as many media as you have the money for. However, that does not mean your message will be believed. The louder advertisers yell, the less likely I am to believe them. How about you?

PR takes time and does not necessarily work on your schedule. Planting new ideas or changing minds is a slow process. When your PR program rolls out over a longer period of time, prospects have time to adjust their attitudes. Brands that take this approach are longer lasting, too.

Chevrolet, for years the number one auto brand, was still number one in ad spending in 2001. It spent $819 million dollars 39 percent more than Ford spent. That year, Ford outsoldevrolet by 33 percent. Since 1997, Chevrolet has outspent and undersold Ford. Chevrolet spends $314 per vehicle and Ford spends $170 per vehicle. Do you think advertising is working for Chevrolet?

Kmart, embroiled in financial difficulty for years, had revenues of $37 billion and spent $542 million on US advertising in 2001. Wal-Mart spent $498 million and garnered four times the revenue: $159 billion split between its Wal-Mart and Sams Club stores. The average Wal-Mart store does $46 million in sales each year while its Sams Club average store sells $56 million. Sams Club does almost no advertising.

Those are old brands, youre saying. What about some newer brands, Harry?

OK, lets look at Pets.com. Remember the dog sock puppet that starred in their commercials? It won awards, but not sales. In six months Pets.com had $22 million in revenues and spent four times that much on advertising. Off-base advertising creativity at work.

The Body Shop was built totally by publicity. No advertising at all. Starbucks, until recently, did virtually no advertising. It has built a brand through good PR efforts. Starbucks annual sales are around $1.3 billion, while advertising expenditures over 10 years, have totaled less than $10 million.

Finally, what advertising agency do you know that has built its brand with ads? Things that make you go hmm.

Dogs learn about the world by using many of their senses. Their sense of smell is much more advanced than a human and they use their eyes and their ears to explore the world around them also. But to many of new owners dismay, dogs also use their mouths to take in new information about the world around them.

Many a dog owner has come home to find Mom brand new $180 pumps chewed to bits by their new puppy. Its a frustrating fact of life that puppies like to chew. Until your puppy learns when, where and what is appropriate to chew your best bet is to control the chewing because you are not likely to eliminate it.

Puppies need to chew as they are teething. Much like babies, a puppies teeth growing in can be painful and the rubbing and chewing of different things offer relief. But even adult dogs can chew; oftentimes it is out of boredom or just a need for an outlet of excess energies.

Controlling your puppy in regards to the chewing situation is easily accomplished. Take responsibility for your own belongings. Your puppy will never chew something that he cannot find. Just like you take measures to baby proof your home to protect your toddler, you need to puppy proof your home to protect your puppy and your belongings. If there is something you dont want your puppy to chew on, make sure it is out of reach of your puppy. By the same token, if you do not want your puppy to chew on your shoes or socks do not give him an old shoe or an old sock to chew on. Your puppy is a dog and he does not have the ability to differentiate between the old shoe he is used to chewing on and the brand new $180 shoes in your closet. Your dog should only be allowed to chew his own specified doggie toys.

Until your puppy learns the rules of the household, you should confine him if you are unable to watch him. Choose a safe place that is puppy-proofed; provide fresh water and his toys. If your dog is crate trained, the crate is always a good solution for this.

Give your dog plenty of attention and people time. Your dog needs love and companionship and appropriate training. You will have fewer problems all around with your dog if he receives some good training on how to be a well-behaved and upstanding doggy citizen.

Chewing is natural behavior for your dog. Your job is to control it and train your dog what is appropriate for him to chew on.

Kevin Lynch owns Puppy-n-Dog-Secrets.com and offers you more information on training your puppy plus a free newsletter full of all kinds of puppy and dog info at Dog Training.

Liz Claiborne At Home Ankle Socks

Bowling shoes have come a long way, at one time the only difference between the ones you rented at the bowling center and the bowling shoes you owned was that yours were not of mixed colors and they were made to be worn by right or left handed bowlers.

Bowling shoes are really specialty shoes, they are constructed specifically to perform certain functions, as well as protect the approach surface. For a right-handed bowler, the left foot is your final step toward the foul line; the left shoe is designed to slide to the foul line. The right shoe is designed to provide traction to facilitate the push off that starts your approach. For a left-handed bowler just reverse the above.

Just a few years ago you had very few style choices, your shoes were either black or white and had a leather slide pad on the slide shoe, and no modifications to the push-off shoe.

That has changed; today there are now more manufacturers of these shoes, offering many new styles, and a wide price range. If you are a recreational bowler, you will benefit from having your own shoes just because you will have a consistent fit and feel. You will become used to how they slide and have a more comfortable and natural approach.

If you are bowling in a league or if you are a competitive bowler you will want a bowling shoe that offers more features. These made for competitive bowlers offer such "accessories" as changeable slide pads, and changeable heels on your slide shoe, this allows you to customize your shoe to exactly how you would like it to perform, or to make adjustments for changing approach conditions. The traction shoe is equipped with a positive traction toe or sole, which will promote solid consistent, push off to start your approach. One top company even offers a "shuffle" shoe style for those bowlers who tend too shuffle their approach steps. These are going to cost a bit more, however they will also give you years of performance.

Many bowlers will use a "slide sock" that is designed to slip over the slide pad to allow for more slide on sticky approaches, this device is especially useful on synthetic approaches.

There are also "wet socks" available to slip over your slide shoe when walking outside of the bowling approach area, this protects the slid pad from getting wet. If your shoes are ready to be replaced, or if you are looking to make a first time purchase, check with your pro shop for your choices.

Element Mens Socks Stunt Double Crew White

Cotton/acrylic/spandex blend solid sock with element branding. Single pack.

If you decide to add a pet to your home, you are inevitably going to have to deal with an accident. Here is some practical advice on applying CPR to your flooring.

Dogs and cats can be wonderful companions, but the first time your sock lands in a wet spot on the carpet, you may doubt your decision to bring Fluffy into your home. Even the best housebroken animals can sometimes have accidents. Pet urine, particularly that of cats, can be quite difficult to get off your carpet and furniture. Here are some tips you can try.

If a dog or cat urinates on your carpet, you should assume that the urine has seeped down to the carpet pad unless you were able to catch the animal in the act and clean it up right away. It is important that you treat both the carpet and the pad underneath or you will never get rid of the smell. In order to make sure you get all the urine up, first place a towel over the spot and put a weight on top. Let that sit for about fifteen minutes. Take up the towel and pour a little bit of water on the spot. Place a fresh towel on the spot and set the weight on top. Let this sit for about half an hour. Finally, use white vinegar and water on the spot and place a fresh towel and the weight back on top. Let that sit until the morning. This process should pull up the urine from the carpet and the carpet pad.

The important thing to remember about your pets accident is that you need to get all of the smell out. Not only is it more sanitary, but if your pet can smell the urine, they will continue to mark in the same spot over and over again. You can use several different products to break down the urine smell. There are several commercial products that you could try such as Natures Miracle, Pet Stop, No-Go or Febreeze. Shampooing your carpets frequently is a good idea as well. Many carpet cleaners have a brand of shampoo that is made especially for pet odors.

There are several home remedies as well. Pour baking soda on the spot to absorb much of the urine and the associated odor. Let it sit for about twenty-four hours and then vacuum up. You can try using scoopable kitty litter as well. Listerine in a spray bottle works often works for cat odors. Vinegar and water is also a good, inexpensive choice. You can also try Windex or rubbing alcohol. Remember to test any product on a hidden area of your carpet to make sure that it wont damage your carpet in any way.

When all else fails, call in a professional carpet cleaner. Their machines can usually draw up dirt and odors better than the home machines. The important thing to remember is to clean up spots thoroughly and as quickly as possible so your pet does not try to mark their territory over and over again and compound your problem.

Liz Claiborne Trouser Socks

Check your mailbox on any given day and you are likely to find one, two, three or more offers to get a credit card. Most offers on the surface look pretty good, but youll have to do some digging before you find one that is a real hit. Are you considering opening up a new credit card account? If so, lets take a look at what makes a worthwhile offer for card seekers everywhere.

No Annual Fee It simply amazes me that anyone would still pay an annual fee to use a credit card. Oh, sure, that pretty jet black or platinum card certainly looks exclusive but is it worth your while to pay $30 or more per year for the privilege of using a particular card? I doubt it!

No Rewards You must be kidding meno rewards offered? With credit card competition at a fevered pitch, it only makes sense that you be rewarded for the troubles of using a card. Most cards will assign you one point for every dollar spent and those points can be redeemed later on for gift cards, movie tickets, hotel stays, airline miles, you name it. Better are those cards that give extra points for select purchases such as visits to the drug store, for groceries, or for trips to the gas station.

Low APR: Does it Matter Granted, if you pay off your credit card every month then the APR you are being charged simply will not matter. 0% or 30%, you still avoid fees that can sock the average person.

Balance Transfer Option What decent card doesnt give a balance transfer option to card holders? Better yet, will that card allow you to transfer funds without paying a transfer fee? No card is worth getting if you are assessed a transfer fee even if the APR is fixed for a certain amount of time.

Other Amenities Travel insurance and roadside assistance are valuable options if offered for free. On the other hand, credit monitoring services and credit card insurance are not worth your trouble and you probably will find that fees will be assessed to you account if you were to sign up. Simply stay away from cards promising nifty amenities that cost you plenty in the end.

So, check out the fine print and apply for those cards meeting your litmus test. If they fail to give you something better than the average card then simply shred the offer and move on to the next one.

With so many home remedies for nail fungus, it's hard to choose the one to try first. The best thing to do is to take things step by step. To start off, one of the most talked about remedies online is Oregano Oil. I know that searching through the net can be a hassle so below we have summed up the pros and cons mentioned about oregano oil for nail fungus.

To begin with, oregano oil is one of the most effective natural anti-fungus remedies. Since it is believed to be a fungicide it has been used in many nail fungus products. This is also due to the fact that oregano oil contains antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-parasitical, antiviral, analgesic and antifungal properties. Basically, all these factors add up to a great remedy and destroyer for nail fungus. So, with so many benefits what are the cons?

Even though many say that oregano oil is one of the best nail fungus remedies, the substance itself is very strong or dermal irritant. This means that it can cause irritation and your skin may become swollen or inflamed.

However there is still hope. As you can see, many do agree that using oregano oil does indeed work. Why? Because, it can be diluted with some olive oil and thus reducing the potency or strength. Also, trying to avoid as little contact with the skin as possible is also helpful and using small amounts or the dosage recommended on the product. I must stress that you always consult with your doctor before trying any home remedy. Oregano oil has been claimed to be effective numerous times, but knowing the right amount to use and how to use it is as important.

So how can you use oregano oil? While searching through the web I found this to be the best remedy, it's short and to the point:

Blend two drops of oregano oil with a teaspoon of olive oil. Apply this mixture on the affected area daily for NOT more than three weeks.

In the mean time you can follow a couple of great suggestions to prevent nail fungus or keep it from getting worse. If you tend to wear sneakers or high heels for a long period of time during the day and your feet are trapped in a damp condition then it is very important that you keep your nails clean and dry as much time as possible. For women, avoid using nail polish completely. This is because nail polish traps moisture under the nails, making nail fungus worse. And of course a must for all and something everyone should be doing is changing your sock daily.

Once again, remember to always consult with your doctor and always review which type of oregano oil product you buy and how it is used. With patience and regular application of oregano oil in the right way, your nail will be healthy in no time.

GOLDTOE Weekender Socks 3 Pair

The changes in weather is a complex system that is interdependent on the combination of the Earth's rotation, the tilt of the Earth's axis, atmosphere and sun's heat. Formation of cyclonic flows and the air masses rise and fall are produced by this combination. As winds, we observed these massive shifting of air.

Across the global the heating effect of the sun produces three wind flows of major consequence on the weather. Apart from these there are other smaller-scale winds that influences the weather.

Several portions of the globe are affected by the Monsoon winds. In India it has the strongest influence. Over Siberia in the winter season due to sinking effect of extremely cold air an area of high pressure is formed. Producing an outflow of winds that moves toward the southeast and blows over India to sea, forming rain and clouds on its way, dissipates this high-pressure zone.

The opposite effect occurs during summer. A low-pressure zone forms over northern India as the high in Siberia dramatically weakens. Heavy rain occurs as this low-pressure area draws from the Indian Ocean moist, warm air. These changes of monsoon winds have a heavy bearing on the Indian agriculture. Failure of occurrence of the highly anticipated Monsoon rains result in high cost of produce and starvation.

Sea breeze is a local wind of another type that can be found in the coastal region. The land more quickly gets heated up than the water during the daytime. The air rises upwards when it gets heated. So the air over the land rises upwards and the cooler air from the sea surface rushes in to fill up the void. This is called the sea breeze. During the night the process reverses, as the land gets cooler than the water more quickly. Warmer air over the sea surface moves up as the cooler air of the land takes its place. This is called the land breeze. During summer and spring season the land and the sea breeze become the strongest.

Around the globe there are some other winds of major importance. Much like how Murcia airport transfers are important for people who want to travel to or from Murcia, Spain. While reaching the other side of the mountain the wind blowing over it sinks very quickly causing compression that creates a warm wind. This warm wind makes the snow of the mountain melt. 'Chinook' is the name by which this wind is called on the Rocky Mountain's east side and while the same wind is called 'Foehn' in Switzerland.

Greg Hansward's reports are published on quite some web publications linked to Benissa. You might see his abstracts on murcia airport transfers at http://www.alicante-spain.com

Getting organized is simple to say and not so simple to do. The words themselves are misleading. They can cover everything from high level business planning to organizing your sock drawer.

Every type of organization that you engage in will involve a different part of your brain and emotions. You will use different tools to achieve the outcome. It's no wonder that we are often thrown into a state of confusion when we approach most organizational tasks.

Let's start at the top and learn one organizational tool that will help with every form of organization you do from now on. With this one tool, you can organize your stuff and you can plan your future. You can keep detailed lists of your music collection and you can design your next marketing campaign.

What can possibly do such a wide range of tasks? It's a mind map!

Mind maps provide a rather organic way to take what is in your brain and dumping it onto paper, or into mind mapping software. You have probably been doing in some form sense childhood.

Let's start with the paper method. Take a blank piece of paper. Put a circle in the middle of the paper. And inside the circle write what it is you want to mind map. Lets say, "my marketing plan."

From the circle you start drawing lines and you label them. Let's say one line is labeled "online marketing" and another line is labeled "offline marketing." You draw lines leading off of "online marketing" and label them with words like "Pay Per Click" and "Article Marketing."

You can refine any idea just by running lines off of the idea line you want to develop. You can take this down to lists like "To Dos," "Action Items," "Things to Buy" and anything else you need to record.

You can store contact info, websites, stretch out ideas to include everything that you need to do and remember. Your goal is put everything in your brain onto this radiating circle of lines annotated with words, highlighters, colors, clouds, flags and any other symbol that will help further identify just what you have in mind.

Now let's do that with software. You can get something that is free all the way up to a premier package. You can even mind map online and create and share your mind maps with others.

Imagine being able to work with someone across the country at the same time on the same mind map. Together, you talk over the phone and both of you develop your brainstorming ideas and outline them on the same mind map at the same time.

Mind mapping is absolutely one of the best organizing tools I know. And it works in my Idea Journal as well as online with my business partner. It keeps a grocery list as well as the master vision for my business marketing plan.
